The Senior Financial Analyst position exists to support the international accounting function within Sony Pictures Releasing International (SPRI). This position reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Special Projects and is primarily responsible for supporting the Manager in financial reporting and special projects.

40%  Prepare and review Corporate forms
The Senior Financial Analyst assists the Manager in preparing and submitting monthly Consolidated Trial Balance schedules (translated to US dollars using the AP/AR cut off rates). The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for submission of a variety of forms to Corporate.  For example, the Senior Analyst prepares a monthly schedule of "Inter-company Revenue" by obtaining information from each territory and populating the corporate template with monthly and year to date information.  The Senior Financial Analyst also prepares and reviews a schedule for "Inter-company  Transactions" by translating inter­ company balances to U.S. dollars using the AP/AR cut off rates, and manually populating  a corporate template.  The Senior Financial Analyst also prepares and reviews schedule of "Investments in Subsidiaries" by running a report from SAP.

35% Assist Manager in Home Office related special projects
The Senior Financial Analyst primarily assists the Manager  in the set up of new businesses outside the U.S. This process involves assisting in coordinating meetings among stakeholders, and assisting  the Manager in setting up new bank accounts, systems and coding. The Senior Financial Analyst assists the Manager in improving and maintaining existing worksheets and schedules used by territories such as the Territory Financial Package (used for analyzing Trial Balance by territory) and Upload Program (used for uploading financial activity into SAP for territories not in SAP.

15% Prepare and review month end reports to management
The Senior Financial Analyst fs responsible for preparing month end reports to management. These reports are reviewed and approved by management to comply with SOX. For example: Balance Sheet Flux used for analyzing and explaining material fluctuations; RevGP used for analyzing and explaining variances between Flash vs. Actuals for released titles; Sub-Distribution AR roll-forward  used for analyzing and explaining any material AR balances by Sub-Distributor.

5-10% Assist Manager in monthly Flash and month-end accruals
The Senior Financial Analyst assists the Manager in preparing the Flash reports. Flash reports are snap shot views of the estimated month end results (revenues, ads, prints by titles) compared  to budget or forecast at a detailed level. At month end, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist in Title Revenue and Costs accruals.

5-10% Set up and maintain documentation related to sub-distributors
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in setting up new distributors, ensuring that the proper documentation is in place and maintained for audit purposes.
